Zhai Jiguang

Zhai Jiguang, born in 1979 in Tongshan, Jiangsu, holds a bachelor's degree in philosophy and a doctorate in law from Peking University. He is a professor and master's supervisor at the Civil, Commercial and Economic Law School of China University of Political Science and Law, and concurrently serves as deputy secretary-general of the Finance and Tax Law Research Institute of the China Law Society. His research focuses on finance and tax law, economic law and commercial law. He has published more than 200 articles and over 50 books, and has participated in the drafting and revision of more than 20 laws, including the Value-Added Tax Law. In his writing for general and practical audiences, he emphasizes the accurate application of legal texts and uses typical cases to explain the meaning of statutory provisions, with works covering the Civil Code, the Land Administration Law, the Administrative Penalty Law and the Accounting Law. He also writes continuously on practical approaches to tax planning, and his books in this area have been revised and reprinted several times, serving both professional readers and practitioners.
