Yi Ping is an author about whom limited public information is available; the library currently holds three of his works, including Burning Planet 2: The Wandering Ark, The Cat King, and The Wild Swan. These titles suggest that his writing spans science fiction, social fiction, and classic works rather than fitting a single category. Burning Planet 2: The Wandering Ark clearly carries a science-fictional imaginative quality, while The Cat King and The Wild Swan lean more toward social and classic themes. Because no clear record of his biography, nationality, or dates of birth and death is available, this note avoids speculation. On the evidence of these works, Yi Ping moves between fantastic narrative and realistic concern; though his output is small, it reaches different kinds of readers and invites further reading to understand his choice of subjects and narrative style.
