Yu Zhi is an author with limited publicly available information; sources do not specify nationality, birth and death dates, or an English name. The library holds five works under this name, including the six-volume Collected Detective Stories of Edogawa Ranpo, a ten-volume collection of essential Japanese classics, The Beast in the Shadows, Ranpo's Gallery of Strange Figures: Variant Volume, and The Black Lizard. These titles are commonly classified under suspense and detective fiction and foreign literature. Judging from these works, Yu Zhi's editorial and writing focus centers on Japanese detective fiction, particularly the organization and presentation of Edogawa Ranpo's writings, which involve bizarre, grotesque, and unconventional styles. The signed works are largely related to introducing Japanese classics and may be useful to readers interested in Japanese suspense fiction and foreign literary compilations.
