Very little public information is available about the author writing under the name Xiaoxiao; their real name, life story and nationality are not recorded. What can be confirmed is that this author has three works in our catalogue, spanning a considerable range of subjects: a technique book for drawing enthusiasts, Pencil Line Drawing Techniques: Ancient-Style Xianxia, and two joke collections, A New Collection of Classic Chinese and Foreign Jokes and Nice to Meet You: 120 Jokes for You. The first falls under art, while the latter two belong to humorous reading, suggesting that the author's writing is not confined to a single field but leans toward both practical instruction and light entertainment. Judging from the existing works, Xiaoxiao's language is plain and direct, emphasizing usability or immediate reading pleasure, and is suited to beginners dipping in at leisure. With no biography or author's statement available, a full picture of the style and influence is difficult to assess and must await further material.
