章华

Zhang Hua is a national first-class English teacher who has taught English for many years and once lived overseas to concentrate on studying the language, giving her a distinctive understanding of European and American culture and considerable accomplishments in spoken and reading English. Her publicly available personal information is limited, and the existing material centers mainly on her work as compiler of bilingual readers. The "I Love Reading Good English" Chinese-English series she compiled was published by Hunan Literature and Art Publishing House in 2013 and was recommended by the American English Teachers Association. Sixteen of her works are included here, most in the inspirational-growth category. The selections focus on stories that motivate readers, courage in the face of adversity, witty short pieces, and warm, healing essays. The language is accessible, suited to readers who wish to build English skills and reflect on life through reading.
