Yi Ran is a male writer from Gansu who currently lives in Beijing. He holds a bachelor's degree in literature from Peking University and works as a young writer and experienced copywriter. Public information about him is limited. His writing spans history and the humanities, inspirational and personal-growth topics, popular art, and language and literacy, and also includes fiction and translation. His published works include Huo Cong Bi Chu, Mou Tang, Da Qing Mi Shi, Zuo Ren Zeng Guofan, Zuo Shi Hu Xueyan, and Dang Xingfu Lai Qiaomen, and he has translated works such as American Language Arts and La Fontaine's Fables. His book Learning Human Anatomy with Bridgman introduces human anatomy to beginning artists, while Chi Huo Gen Shang! Shua Bian Zhongguo Meishi Ditu takes readers on a lighthearted journey through regional Chinese food. He has also produced several editions of American Language Arts for middle and elementary school levels, with 30 titles in the collection.
