Kan Wu is a Chinese writer of online romance fiction. Publicly available information about the author is limited: neither dates of birth and death nor an English name have been recorded. Three of the author's works are currently included in the collection: Local Heavy Rainfall, A Guide to Winning Over the Grand Secretary, and Broken Jade, while other representative titles such as Greeting and Catering, Locking the Canglang, and Separated by Blue Sky have been serialized on online literature platforms. The author's writing mainly covers two categories, contemporary romance and time-travel alternate-world fiction: the former revolves around the emotional entanglements of men and women in modern urban settings, while the latter uses time-travel and alternate-world premises to develop character relationships. Kan Wu's writing is known for its delicate emotional detail, skill at portraying the emotional push and pull between characters, and attention to building narrative tension, so that everyday interactions and turning points in relationships drive each other forward. Because little public information about the author is available, readers mostly know the author through the works themselves; several titles have been serialized on online literature platforms and have gained a degree of attention among romance readers.
