Xuan'er is a web-fiction author about whom little public information is available; what is known is that their work touches on such genres as social fiction, otherworldly continents, and time-travel alternate worlds. Judging from the existing works, Xuan'er writes around the "Jiugong Yetan" series, of which the library holds three titles: Jiugong Yetan: Prequel—The Decisive Battle Against the Bandits, Jiugong Yetan 1–9: The Complete Collection, and Jiugong Yetan: The Ninety-Nine Palace Coup. This series clearly occupies the main place in their output. The works' categories span social fiction as well as otherworldly continents and time-travel alternate worlds, suggesting that the author attempts both realistic concerns and fantastical settings, using a serialized chapter structure to develop characters and plot. Because no public information is available on the author's life, nationality, education, or writing career, the full picture of their work remains difficult to ascertain; still, the continuity of the series suggests that Xuan'er is committed to advancing the story within a single worldview, drawing readers with a narrative that interweaves suspense and fantasy.
