About the author

Wang Jibing is a writer who uses poetry to record everyday labor and the feelings of ordinary life. Three of his works are available here: Low-Altitude Flight, I Clumsily Love This World, and The Person Rushing Against Time: Poems by a Delivery Rider (exclusive first release). Among them, Low-Altitude Flight won the Ninth Lu Xun Literary Prize, an award that brought his writing to the attention of more readers. Judging from the titles and the common categories, his poems often draw on the realities of hard work and constant rushing, with plain language, restrained emotion, and a habit of drawing insight into the world from concrete moments of daily life, offering a poetic voice from the perspective of an ordinary worker. His work is generally classified as modern poetry, and some sources also connect it with the tradition of classical Chinese verse. Public information about his life, education, and writing career is limited; what can be discussed at present is mainly the subjects and style shown in these poems, and the response they have received among contemporary poetry readers.
