Wang Meng

Wang Meng, born in 1965 in Zibo, Shandong, holds a PhD in philosophy (religious studies) and is a professor and master's supervisor at the School of Ethnology and Sociology, South-Central Minzu University, as well as a correspondence reviewer for National Social Science Fund projects. His research focuses on theories of religious studies, traditional Chinese religion, and Buddhist culture; he is the author of Buddhism and Science: From Integration to Dialogue and took part in revising A Brief History of the Gaoshan People. Nine of his works are held in this collection, spanning a remarkably wide range of subjects: historical and documentary titles such as Testimonies of Japanese Officers and Soldiers on the Atrocities of the Japanese Germ Warfare in China and Unit Ei 1644 of the Japanese Army, alongside studies of wartime sites in Nanjing and Japan's currency war against China, as well as basic tutorials on oil painting and sketching and a practical guide to fishing. His writing combines scholarly research with accessibility for general readers, reaching across history popularization and art education.
