Wang Limin is an author who has worked steadily in the fields of legal history and historical reading. The library currently holds eight of his works, covering Chinese legal history, studies of the Tang Code, the legal system of foreign concessions, and local legal history in Shanghai. From The Study of Chinese Legal History over 70 Years and Key Issues in Chinese Legal History to the multiple editions of A New Exploration of the Tang Code, one can see his emphasis on tracing institutional developments and reexamining specific topics. A Preliminary Study of the Legal System in Chinese Foreign Concessions (Revised Edition) and A History of the Shanghai Legal System (Second Edition) further show his attention to regional legal-historical sources. His writing is marked by solid organization of historical materials and clear exposition, addressing both legal and historical readerships. Because public information is limited, his education, positions, and career cannot be confirmed, yet the existing works alone demonstrate his sustained commitment to and accumulation in the study of legal history.
