Wang Yongyan: public information is limited. Judging from the eight works held in the collection, his writings concentrate on traditional Chinese medicine. They cover basic theory and specific topics such as etiology and symptomatology, including General Principles of TCM Theory, TCM Etiology, and TCM Symptomatology; they also address modern research on syndromes, the disciplinary construction of TCM, and the clinical application of the soft-hardening and mass-dissipating method. He edited the Practical Handbook for Village Doctors for grassroots practitioners, and compiled The Path of Seeking Truth, a collection of personal accounts by award-winning national TCM doctoral candidates.
