About the author

Wang Ming (1911–1992), courtesy name Zecheng, was a native of Yueqing, Zhejiang, and an expert in the history of Chinese philosophy and Daoist studies. He served as a researcher at the Institute of Philosophy, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and as head of its Research Office for the History of Chinese Philosophy. His representative works, including A Collated Edition of the Taiping Jing, A Collated and Annotated Edition of the Inner Chapters of Baopuzi, and An Annotated Edition of the Wunengzi, laid an important foundation for the collation and study of Daoist texts. He is regarded as one of the pioneers in the study of Daoist culture and trained a large number of researchers. It should be noted that the three works listed on this site—Enterprise Layoffs, Job Transfers and Salary Adjustments, Internal Discipline, and Risk Prevention and Guidance for Employee Departures (5th revised edition); The Marriage Law Treasure Book: 55 Hot and Difficult Questions About Marriage Law You Must Know; and Teaching from a Different Perspective—concern labor law practice, marriage and family law, and educational methods respectively, which do not match the philosophical and Daoist research background described above. Public information is limited, and it is difficult to confirm whether they are by the same author; the works are recorded here objectively by subject matter only, without speculation.
