Wang Dawei, born on May 4, 1957, is a native of Shandong and holds a doctorate in education. He is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the People's Public Security University of China and a Class II police commissioner. One of China's first students sent to the West to study police science, he is among the introducers of modern Western police science to China. He coined Chinese translations for more than 50 police science concepts and created the English term "policeology." He is the author of over 30 works, including British and American Police Science, and founded youth safety education brands such as Ping'an Tongyao, earning him the title of "the police officer who speaks in rhymes." Three of his works are included here, covering health and wellness, smart urban emergency response, and automotive chassis electronic control training, with common categories of health, society and culture, and examinations, showing that his writing spans academic research, public safety, and practical education for different readerships.
