Mou Rong is an author about whom very little is known. Publicly available information is limited: his native place, dates of birth and death, and specific life experiences cannot be reliably verified, and even an English name is not recorded. The library holds only one work under his name, "Weng Mu Xie" (rendered here as a title), classified among classical poetry. This clue suggests that Mou Rong's writing belonged to the traditional verse form, with themes likely related to people, family affection, or everyday reflections, and a style that may inherit the concise and restrained manner of classical poetry. Because so few works survive, it is difficult today to assess his full output or literary standing, yet "Weng Mu Xie", as the sole surviving text, still offers readers a window into his craft. For readers and researchers of classical poetry, this isolated record also has some reference value, pointing to an author whose traces remain to be explored.
