毕尚

Bi Shang: public information about this author is limited, and details such as nationality, birth and death years, and English name are not clearly recorded. Judging from the twenty-one works held in the collection, Bi Shang is mainly active in writing general biography, most notably the series "One Hundred Outstanding Figures of the World," covering artists, writers, scientists, thinkers, and inventors, published in upper and lower volumes. Such works usually link important figures of various eras through short biographical sketches, balancing informative content with readability, and are suitable for general readers seeking an overview of the development of world culture, science, and thought. Bi Shang's writing clearly focuses on group-portrait introductions that help readers quickly grasp the contributions and standing of outstanding figures in different fields. Given the lack of further background material, the author can currently be positioned, based on subject matter and publication format, as a writer specializing in popular biographical reading matter.
