樊锦诗

Fan Jinshi's publicly available biographical information is currently limited, but the works held in this library offer a general sense of her writing direction and intended readership. Her works focus mainly on the field of history books, with representative titles including _Brilliant Dunhuang_ and the co-authored _Witnessing Chinese Archaeology Series_ (8 volumes). In terms of subject matter, she attends to Dunhuang art and archaeological discoveries, tending to narrate the discovery, preservation, and study of cultural heritage from a first-hand perspective and to translate specialized knowledge into accounts accessible to general readers. Such writing retains the immediacy of archaeological fieldwork while also emphasizing the梳理 of historical context, making it suitable for readers interested in Dunhuang culture and Chinese archaeology. Only two of her works are currently held here, which is not enough to present a complete picture of her writing; further information awaits additional public sources.
