About the author

Liang Tao was born in June 1965 in Xi'an, Shaanxi. He is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Chinese Classics, Renmin University of China, and a distinguished professor under the Changjiang Scholars Program of the Ministry of Education. His research focuses on the history of Chinese thought, Confucian intellectual history, the history of classical scholarship, and excavated bamboo and silk manuscripts. His books include The Guodian Bamboo Slips and the Zisi-Mencius School, A New Inquiry into the Confucian Orthodoxy, and Studies on the Zisi-Mencius School, and he has received several awards in the humanities and social sciences. Among the four works listed here are an accessible interpretation of Mencius and the volume Mencius in the Hundred Classics of Chinese Traditional Culture, as well as the more specialized Liang Tao on the Wan Zhang Chapter of Mencius, reflecting his dual commitment to scholarly research and the popularization of classics. Another work, A Guide to Scenario Simulation Teaching in Clinical Nursing and a Collection of Typical Cases, shows that his editorial work also extends into medical education.
