Public information about Sang Yuhong is currently limited. Judging from the four works held in the collection, the author's research focuses on the field investigation and description of dialects in Hebei Province. The published studies—A Study of the Dialect of Caofeidian, Tangshan; A Study of the Dialect of Xian County, Cangzhou; A Study of the Dialect of Wuyi County, Hengshui; and A Study of the Dialect of Taocheng District, Hengshui—all belong to the Hebei dialect research series or comparable dialectological works, covering different dialect points in Tangshan, Cangzhou and Hengshui respectively. This suggests a clear awareness of regional coverage, documenting the phonology, vocabulary and grammar of county-level dialects one by one. Such writing is grounded in fieldwork, values accurate transcription and comparative analysis of first-hand linguistic data, and is plain in style and regular in format, chiefly serving the accumulation of Chinese dialectology and local linguistic-cultural materials and offering reference value for preserving the dialects of eastern and south-central Hebei.
