杰卿

Jie Qing is an author about whom limited public information is available; neither nationality, dates of birth and death, nor an English name has been recorded, and the library holds 28 of the author's works. Judging from these works, Jie Qing writes popular science and inspirational-growth books for general readers, often approaching nature and history through suspenseful titles such as The Body Can Generate Electricity: Those Human Legends You Never Knew, The Irresistible: Those Volcanic and Tsunami Stories You Never Knew, and Horrible Hell: Those Earthquake Disasters You Never Knew, as well as nature-legend volumes like The Stone That Lays Eggs and The Tree That Can Wash Clothes. Most of these books use the subtitle “those you never knew” to turn knowledge about the human body, geology, disasters, plants, and historical coincidences into readable short pieces, combining plain language with entertainment and information. Works on historical subjects, such as Churchill's Premonition and Terrible Shipwrecks, show a broad range of material and a preference for sparking curiosity through specific events and details. Under the inspirational-growth category, Jie Qing's works also serve to spread common knowledge and encourage exploration, suiting young readers and general audiences.
