杨菁

Yang Jing is an author whose work ranges across an unusually wide variety of subjects. Public information about her is limited, and no reliable records are available on her nationality, dates of birth and death, or educational background. Six of her works are currently held in the collection, covering foreign literature, popular science, history, design, science fiction, and agriculture and forestry. Among them, A Tremor of a Leaf carries something of the literary essay, Beijing Wildflowers focuses on nature observation, Without Questioning East or West: Foreign Friends During the War of Resistance turns to historical narrative, and Research on Traditional Architecture in the Hehuang Region reflects an interest in regional architecture and design; there are also the science fiction work The Answer and the practical Snakehead Health Breeding Techniques. These titles suggest that Yang Jing's writing resists a single category, moving between knowledge popularization, the humanities, and science fiction, and may appeal to readers interested in cross-disciplinary reading.
