Yang Ruikui: public information is limited, and the main identity currently confirmed is that of a Chinese novelist. The library holds one work by this author, the social novel The Light of a Millennium. Judging from the existing classification, the book falls into the category of social fiction, indicating that its subject matter and concerns lie in social reality and the various aspects of human life rather than in purely imaginary fantasy. Because information such as the author's biography, nationality, dates of birth and death, and English name has not been clearly recorded, no speculation is made here and nothing is supplied on the author's behalf. On the basis of the available clues, Yang Ruikui's writing profile is presented mainly through this single work, The Light of a Millennium, through which readers may learn about the author's narrative orientation and the social issues of concern. For an author with only a small number of works so far, it is better to return to the text itself and appreciate its brushwork and underlying ideas in the act of reading than to list empty evaluations.
