杨晚晴

Yang Wanqing is a Chinese science fiction author. Public information about her is limited, and no systematic account of her life or the full extent of her work is available. Three of her books are currently included in the collection: Nebula XII: The Cartesian Demon, Golden Peach (part of the China Science Fiction Cornerstone Series), and Double Helix: Selected Short Science Fiction by Yang Wanqing. Her work is commonly categorized as science fiction and social fiction. These titles suggest that her writing combines science fiction imagination with social observation: on the one hand, she uses speculative premises to explore technology, reason, and the unknown; on the other, she brings characters' circumstances and real-world issues into her narratives, giving the stories a sense of social concern beyond genre interest. The short-story collection also indicates a sustained engagement with short-form science fiction. For readers interested in the diversity of contemporary Chinese science fiction, Yang Wanqing is an author worth noting.
