About the author

Yang Ping, born in June 1973, is a Chinese science fiction writer and a graduate in astrophysics who is a member of the China Writers Association. He began publishing in 1996, often writing on computers and the internet, and is regarded as one of China's early representative cyberpunk authors. His works "The MUD Hacker Incident" and "For the Sake of Withered Flowers" each won the China Science Fiction Galaxy Award, and some of his writing has been translated into English, Japanese and other languages. The library also holds three of his works related to new energy vehicle maintenance, classical poetry for primary school pupils, and private-domain operations, showing that his writing also touches on exam preparation and management practice. Beyond this, public information on his specific career and creative details is limited.
