杨少衡

Yang Shaoheng, about whom public information is limited, writes mainly social fiction and war and military-themed novels, with nine works held in the collection. Titles such as Municipal Leaders, A County Magistrate's Internal Reference, Low-Level Officials and Party School Classmates show that he excels at depicting officialdom and grassroots political operations, focusing on human relations and individual predicaments within power structures. Underground Party and New World: A Record of Bandit Suppression in a Corner of the Southeast turn to revolutionary history and bandit-suppression narratives, presenting political struggles and military operations of a particular era. Works such as Boss Lin's Gun and Officials of Two Generations likewise continue his observation of real social relations. On the whole, Yang Shaoheng's writing stays close to reality, emphasizes plot momentum and characters' circumstances, and combines social critique with readability, giving him a certain place in contemporary officialdom fiction and military-themed writing.
