Yang Yong

Yang Yong (born 1980), who also writes under the pen names Yang Ali and Ali Gege, is a native of Qixia, Shandong. He is a member of the China Writers Association, a children's literature author and publishing professional, and a two-time recipient of the Bing Xin Children's Literature Award. His works include The Little Ant's Elephant World and Going to the City, and he has compiled a large number of children's and campus literature titles. The works held in the library span a wide range of subjects—social sciences, medicine, essays and miscellaneous writings, management, and travel. Titles such as The Yellow River: From Yu the Great's Flood Control to the Anthropocene and Discovering the Three-River Source focus on nature and culture, while his medical books cover microsurgery, wound repair, clinical medication, and traditional Chinese solar-term health practices; he has also written on restaurant marketing and management. Public information is limited, so a complete biography is difficult to sketch, but his existing works show a writer who combines literary creation with the popularization of knowledge.
