Li Miao

Li Miao, born in 1962, is a Chinese theoretical physicist and popular science writer. Alongside his long engagement with physics research and teaching, he has devoted considerable energy to writing about science for the general public. His works range widely: some, such as A Brief History of Superstring Theory, trace the development of physics, while The Physics of The Three-Body Problem approaches real physics through science fiction. He has also written science books for children on time and quantum mechanics, and has ventured into parenting and history titles. His writing explains abstract ideas in accessible language and everyday examples, balancing rigor with interest, and has earned him a steady readership among both specialists and general readers. Eighteen of his works are included here, in forms ranging from popular science series to award-winning collections, reflecting both systematic range and a commitment to reaching a broad audience.
