李师江

Li Shijiang is a Chinese author whose work spans a notably wide range of subjects. Public information about him is limited, and no systematic account of his life has been made available. Six of his works are included in the collection, covering such categories as social fiction, general biography and historical reading. His representative works include novels with a realistic social touch and a folk flavor, such as Fushou Spring and Grandpa's Ghost Tricks, as well as historical and power-struggle titles such as Cao Cao: This Life of Mine, Heshen: The Emperor's Confidant (new edition), The Game of Power: Court Strife among Five Powerful Ministers (5 volumes) and Working the Realm: A Revealing Look at Palace Intrigue and Power Play (4 volumes). Judging from the available titles, he attends both to human feelings and social realities in everyday life and to retelling historical figures and court rivalries in accessible narrative form, with a style that favors storytelling and readability for general readers.
