Li Shuangyuan

Li Shuangyuan, born in September 1927 in Xinning, Hunan, is one of the founders of private international law studies in New China. He graduated from the Law Department of Wuhan University in 1955 and went on to a long career in legal education and research, serving as a professor at Wuhan University and a lifetime professor at Hunan Normal University, and as honorary president of the China Society of Private International Law. He has written works such as Private International Law (Conflict of Laws) and Comparative Civil Law, and has edited national textbooks including Introduction to Law and Private International Law. This library holds his Private International Law, third through fifth editions, along with Private International Law Studies and Teaching Cases in Private International Law, covering both textbook and case-teaching formats. His writing is known for clear structure and rigorous concepts, combining theoretical exposition with practical training, and is useful for both teaching and exam preparation in private international law. In 2019 he received the title of Nationally Outstanding Senior Jurist.
