朱玉麒

Zhu Yuqi is an author active in Chinese scholarly and essay circles; publicly available information about him is limited, and a full account of his life is not yet available. Judging from the ten works held in the collection, his writing follows two main threads. The first is specialized research on Western Regions documents and Qing frontier history and geography, represented by Xu Song and the Study of the Xiyu Shuidao Ji, which focuses on the Qing scholar Xu Song and his Xiyu Shuidao Ji, and by Hanhai Lingjian: Collected Studies of Western Regions Documents. The second is scholarly essays and miscellaneous prose, seen in titles such as Yunlu Ju Manbi, Qiyu Wangzhi, Mengyu Xuan Suibi, Gusheng Zhai Xueshu Suibi and Dushi Zaping, several of which appear in the Phoenix Branch essay series. He also compiled Shizhong Silu: Feng Qiyong Xiansheng Da Xibu Shichao, touching on modern poetry and Silk Road themes. His writing combines textual scholarship with the pleasures of the essay, and his works are often grouped under examination, culture, prose, classics and modern poetry.
