About the author

Mu Mu, whose real name is Chai Baohui, is a writer and book editor from Northeast China. He opened his first bookstore in 1989 and has long been engaged in planning and editing inspirational books, having edited the "Life" series. His writing and editorial choices are not confined to a single genre: the works held in the collection range across travel, food, social fiction and fortune-telling. Shenzhen Ten Peaks: Reading the City from Mountains and Sea links the city and nature through walking; A Person's Four-Season Dining Table approaches daily life through food; while Hoho Humans Can No Longer Stop Me and Enduring Humiliation lean toward social observation and narrative. Judging from the works available, he combines personal experience with popular reading tastes, writing in a plain style that emphasizes readability and a sense of everyday life, often drawing reflection on life from ordinary details. Public information about his life, education and publishing chronology is limited, so no speculation is offered here; this note confines itself to his experience in book planning and the range of subjects in his existing works.
