曾子

Zengzi is an important figure who carried Confucian learning forward, and his sayings and thought are chiefly known through records in the Analects and Mencius; the tradition that the Great Learning came from his school has given him lasting influence. Four related works are held in the collection, including the illustrated collector's edition of the Great Learning and the Doctrine of the Mean, a volume combining those two texts with Guiguzi, and the title Zengzi. These books are mainly editions and annotations of classical texts, aimed at readers in examination preparation and Eastern philosophy; they present original passages together with modern Chinese explanation, helping beginners grasp the basic threads of self-cultivation, filial piety, and governance. Because public information on his dates and nationality is limited, this note avoids speculation and confines itself to the subject matter and reading value of the transmitted texts.
