Xing Ling is an author about whom little public information is available; her nationality, dates of birth and death, and educational background are not clearly documented. What can be confirmed is that she is active in online literature, writing in the genres of youth literature and otherworldly fantasy, with seven of her works held in the collection. Her representative works include Bai Shuo Shang Shen, Shen Yin, Di Huang Shu, and Shang Gu. Bai Shuo Shang Shen is the source novel for the drama Bai Yue Fan Xing starring Bai Lu and Ao Ruipeng; Shen Yin was adapted into the eponymous television series starring Zhao Lusi and Wang Anyu; and Di Huang Shu is the source novel for An Le Zhuan starring Dilraba and Gong Jun. These works often blend time-travel and alternate-world settings with xianxia elements, balancing emotional storylines with expansive world-building, and have reached a wider readership through their screen adaptations.
