方志敏

Fang Zhimin holds a distinctive place in the history of modern Chinese revolutionary literature, his life and writing closely bound up with the national fate of the first half of the twentieth century. Public information about his life available in our catalog is limited, yet the eight works collected here already show that his writing centers throughout on patriotism and ideals. "Beloved China" is his most widely circulated representative work, portraying love for the motherland and hope for its future in deeply felt prose; it has long been regarded as a classic text of patriotic education. Anthologies such as "Loyal Heart Facing Noble Example: Selected Inspirational Writings of Fang Zhimin" present his essays and miscellaneous writings from various angles. His style is plain yet fervent, combining lyricism with thought, and often moves readers through personal experience and candid self-reflection. The works suit young people and general readers alike.
