徐迟

Xu Chi is an author whose biographical details are limited in publicly available sources; his dates of birth and death, nationality, and educational background are unknown. Three of his works are held in the collection, including Kafka's Diaries, The Call of the Great Bear, and Reading Is the Axe That Cuts the Frozen Sea Within Us: Kafka Conversations. These titles suggest that his writing and editorial work center on foreign literature, especially the Austrian writer Franz Kafka, involving the compilation and translation of primary materials such as diaries and conversations, while also touching on poetic imagery and the experience of reading. His works are often categorized under foreign literature and classical poetry, indicating a cross-linguistic and cross-genre approach. Despite the limited information, it is clear that his work offers Chinese readers a readable entry point into Kafka's life and thought, and has some significance for translation and cultural transmission.
