徐胤

Xu Yin holds a doctorate from Freie Universität Berlin and is currently a lecturer in the Department of German at Renmin University of China, where her main research interest lies in the relationship between literature and psychoanalysis. She has long been engaged in translating German scholarly works, with a particular focus on Freud, having translated Three Essays on the Theory of Sexuality, Introductory Lectures on Psycho-Analysis, The Ego and the Id, and I and Thou. Three of her works are included here: The Ego and the Id, Introductory Lectures on Psycho-Analysis by Sigmund Freud, and Dora: An Analysis of a Case of Hysteria, spanning social psychology, applied psychology, and psychological research. These translations present Freud's basic concepts, clinical cases, and theoretical framework to Chinese readers, offering a reliable textual basis for understanding his thought.
