张莹

Public information about Zhang Ying is limited, and her direction as a writer and compiler can only be glimpsed from the eleven works recorded in the library. Her writing spans economics, management, language studies and creative work: she has produced popular economics titles for general readers, including introductions to the thought of economists such as Thomas Sowell, as well as practical management textbooks such as Principles and Practice of Management. In language research, she examines the factuality of Chinese conditionals using a self-built closed corpus. She has also worked in film and television, modern romance and examination-oriented subjects, composed the two-piano piece Deep in the Clouds: Picking Tea, and contributed to a campus football teaching and training guide for high schools in Chongqing. Overall, her works combine knowledge popularization with practical teaching, covering a notably wide range of subjects.
