张睿

Public information about Zhang Rui is quite limited, and what is available is not enough to sketch a complete biography. Nevertheless, the six works held in the collection show a notably wide range of interests. The subjects span classical literature, industrial technology and medicine: there are illustrated classical readers such as the color-illustrated complete edition of the Four Great Classical Novels and The Merry Jianghu: A Color-Illustrated Water Margin, alongside technical titles such as Wireless Communication Instruments and Testing Applications (3rd Edition) and a medical manual, Standards for Cesarean Section Operations. The classical literature works generally present canonical texts in illustrated form, emphasizing the interplay of pictures and text and the reading experience, and are aimed at general readers. The technical and medical books focus on practical operation and standards. As the author's identity, nationality and dates remain unconfirmed, this introduction is based solely on the works' categories and themes, for readers' reference.
