About the author

Zhang Mingqiang is a cross-disciplinary author about whom limited public information is available; the existing details come mainly from three works in the library. His writing spans two distinct fields: social culture and computer applications. On the one hand, he focuses on parallel prose of the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, having written A Study of Parallel Prose in the Late Ming and Early Qing, which reflects an academic interest in classical literature and literary form. On the other hand, he co-authored Computer Applications Basics (Windows 7 + Office 2010) and its companion lab guide and exercise book, aimed at introductory computer teaching. The marked contrast between these works suggests that his writing combines humanistic research with practical instruction, serving quite different readerships. As no reliable records of his birth and death dates, nationality, or educational background exist, his personal history cannot yet be outlined; readers may instead understand his writing orientation through the subjects and organization of the works mentioned above.
