About the author

Zhang Zongjiu is an expert in health management in China. He formerly served as director of the Department of Medical Administration at the National Health Commission, and has long been engaged in the management of medical institutions and medical quality and safety, as well as in organizing and coordinating the national stroke prevention and treatment program. Public information about him is limited, and details of his life such as birth and death years and educational background are not systematically documented. Judging from the three works held in the collection, his writing focuses on stroke prevention and treatment and the development of stroke centers. He co-edited the China Stroke Prevention and Treatment Report (2018), the China Stroke Prevention and Treatment Report (2019), and the China Stroke Center Report 2019 with Academician Wang Longde and others. These reports mainly present data reviews and policy recommendations, serving clinical management and public health decision-making, and offer reference value for promoting the standardized development of China's stroke prevention and treatment system.
