张唯诚

Zhang Weicheng is a Chinese book author about whom limited public information is available; his nationality, dates of birth and death, and educational background are not clearly documented. Judging from the six works listed in the catalog, his writing spans two fields: foreign literature and popular science. In literature, he has translated Infinite Almost Transparent Blue, Honeymoon Travel, and N·P, and participated in compiling the first collection of Ryu Murakami's works (a five-volume set). These selections tend to focus on urban life and youth themes in contemporary Japanese fiction, with translations that strive to preserve the mood and rhythm of the originals. In popular science, The Legend of the Earth: A Wonderful Journey Through 4.5 Billion Years traces the history of Earth's evolution along a chronological thread, balancing knowledge with readability. Another title, The Melancholy of the Tennis Player, falls somewhere between personal essay and literary translation. Overall, Zhang Weicheng works in both translation and original popular science writing, addressing general readers in a plain style that emphasizes fluent narrative.
