张亮

Zhang Liang is a Chinese author whose works span a notably wide range of subjects. Public information about him is limited, and his biography and professional background remain unclear. Judging from the twenty-one works held in the collection, his writing falls roughly along two lines. One is natural history and popular science, including a handbook of natural observation of snakes and a guide to identifying and preventing venomous snakes in Guangdong, which emphasize practical knowledge of species identification and field observation. The other is philosophy and history, comprising a three-volume guide to Lukács that examines his early ideas on art and life, reification and revolution, and his later aesthetics and ontology, as well as Japanese officers' and soldiers' testimonies on the atrocities of the Japanese biological warfare in China. He has also written on cloud-native architecture in computing. His works tend to address specific problems and have the character of guides and organized reference material, suited to introductory readers and researchers in the relevant fields.
