应惘然

Ying Wangran is a Chinese web novelist about whom only limited public information is currently available. Two of the author's works are included in the collection: Splendid Jade Gate and Reborn, I Made My Half-Sister Kneel and Swallow the Poisoned Wine (2 volumes). Their common category is time-travel and alternate-history fiction. Judging from the known titles, the writing draws on ancient or alternate historical settings and revolves around household feuds, turns of fate, and characters' revenge; the titles and category indicate a female-oriented time-travel and rebirth narrative that emphasizes reversals in characters' circumstances and the development of emotional conflict. Because basic details such as the author's nationality, dates of birth and death, and English name are unrecorded, little can be said about the author's life or creative path beyond a thematic summary based on the existing works. Readers interested in the author and the writing may consult the two works mentioned above.
