Xia Qixi is a Chinese writer of young-adult literature and contemporary romance, whose name also appears in the titles of her works. Public information about her is limited: her nationality, dates of birth and death, English name, and educational background are not clearly recorded. What can be confirmed is that three of her works are held in the collection, namely Pian'ai, Pian'ai 2, and Xia Qixi: Pian'ai (complete two-volume set). Judging from the titles and categories of these works, her writing centers on young-adult literature and modern romance, focusing on the emotional relationships of young men and women and developing plots around partiality, choice, and entanglement in love, with a distinct youthful atmosphere and the flavor of popular romance. Given the available material, it is difficult to give a detailed account of her creative career and literary influence; her writing style and overall achievements await further public information.
