Zhou Banniang is an author about whom little public information is available; the library holds eight of her works. She writes mainly in modern romance and social fiction, with representative titles including Tropical Night, Soap Bubbles, A Kiss under the Mistletoe, Mature Men and Women: Zhou Banniang's Urban Love Novel Collection (4 volumes), Fish Bones, Black Whale, Sand in the Eyes, and Summer Flower Tea. The title "Mature Men and Women" in her urban romance collection suggests an interest in the emotional experience and ways of relating of adults.
