About the author

Xiang Nan: public information is limited, and at present only the Chinese name and two medical works are known. The first is Leijing Zhengzhi Bencao, whose title indicates a compilation of materia medica organized around syndrome-based treatment in the lineage of the Leijing, a work combining traditional materia medica with clinical pattern differentiation. The second is Zhongyi Zhenghou Xinxixue (Traditional Chinese Medicine Syndrome Informatics), whose title points to an interdisciplinary direction linking TCM syndromes with informatics. The two works thus address both traditional medical literature and contemporary TCM information research, showing the author's attention to both scholarly organization of classical medicine and new disciplinary fields. Because no reliable records of biography, nationality, or professional positions are available, no speculation is offered here. Readers may consult the two works themselves for a fuller sense of the author's scholarly orientation and writing style.
