About the author

Ye Lin is a Chinese-language author whose works span a notably wide range of subjects. Public information about him is limited, and his nationality, dates of birth and death, and educational background cannot be confirmed. Judging from the four works held in the collection, his writing covers two quite different fields. One is legal practice: he is the author of Understanding and Application of the Futures and Derivatives Law of the People's Republic of China, which interprets and analyzes the legal provisions governing futures and derivatives. The other is fantasy fiction, including The Colour of Steel and The Sorrow of Armour from the Courtroom Swords trilogy, as well as a three-volume boxed set of the series, published by Science Fiction World in its World Fantasy Masters series. Classified under law, science fiction, and fine fiction, his works reflect a dual orientation toward professional legal writing and genre fiction.
