刘雪枫

Liu Xuefeng is a Chinese author whose writing centers mainly on classical music. Public information about him is limited, and a complete account of his life has not been made available. Nine of his works are held in the collection, including From Baroque and Classicism to Modernism, From Beethoven to Richard Strauss, The Hidden Chopin, Good Night! Der Rosenkavalier, and Nights in Mallorca, several of which belong to the series Listen to Music with Liu Xuefeng; the list also includes Notes of a Music Lover and Austria in Notes: A Musical Journey Through Landscapes. These works combine surveys of music history, commentary on composers and pieces, and musical travel essays. His prose is essayistic, attentive to the experience of listening and to cultural context, and is often classified under film and television, essays and miscellaneous writings, and theory.
