Liu Feng, about whom limited public information is available, has written on a wide range of subjects, including law, politics, social sciences, culture, and health, with nine works held in the collection. Judging from his representative works, he attends both to Carl Schmitt's political and constitutional theory, having taken part in translating such collections as Constitutional Theory and Political Romanticism, and to practical topics such as field research methods, local cultural resources, and rural social governance. He has also written a health book on the pairing of medicines and foods, historical works such as Kublai Khan: The Rise of the Prairie Eagle, and accounts of figures including Norman Bethune and Zhang Binggui. Spanning academic translation, social research, and popular writing, his work is varied in subject and emphasizes clear organization of knowledge and accessibility to general readers.
