Liu Ying

Liu Ying, born in 1961, holds doctorates in law and economics and is a senior lawyer and writer. She serves as director of the Liaoning People's Law Firm and vice president of the China Behavioral Law Society. She began publishing in the 1980s, and nine of her works are included in this collection, spanning law, management, politics, and medicine. Her writing balances expertise with readability: she has compiled the classical Chinese medical text Tangtou Gejue, interpreted the relationship between political science and political drama, and analyzed Putin's national ideas and Russia's transformation. She also addresses real-world themes, such as a breast cancer specialist's experience as both doctor and patient, the cultivation of a new craftsman spirit, and popular introductions to intangible cultural heritage such as ceramics. Her interests extend to big-data algorithms in earth science and tropospheric scatter communications, reflecting a broad interdisciplinary outlook. Public information about her is limited, but her works show a gift for making specialized knowledge accessible to general readers.
